I used to think goals worked like a straight line:

Step 1 ➡ Step 2 ➡ Step 3 = Success.

Spoiler alert: my life?

Not so much.

But here’s the thing—I realized most big goals aren’t linear.

They’re more like planting a garden.

You throw a bunch of seeds out there, water them, give them sunshine, and—boom—something blooms.

It’s not about controlling every step.

It’s about experimenting, nurturing, and seeing what grows.

For example:

Instead of saying, “I’m going to get a promotion,” you focus on learning, networking, and building skills.
Or instead of sticking to “Launch in 6 months,” you test ideas, gather feedback, and tweak.

It’s less

“follow the map”

and more

“use the compass.”
